Featured Speaker

Tim Clue
Motivational Speaker

MOTIVATION, A FUNNY THING

Increasing trust, team and connection through laughter. This is Tim’s art form and passion. “We live in an attention economy, in a tangled digital age where connection, transparency, and trust is the new currency.”  This one of a kind Keynote speaker is an award-winning writer, educator, and comic, He’s opened for a former president, and Jerry Seinfeld.  You may have caught his work XM/Sirius Satellite Radio.  His play “Leaving Iowa” was nominated Best New Play in the Country and is performed in theaters across U.S. and Canada.

“IN AN AGE OF ACCELERATION, TIM’S STYLE REFLECTS THE CHAOS AND SPEED IN WHICH WE NOW WORK AND LIVE”
“A NATURAL CONNECTOR WHO CREATES MOTIVATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR BUSINESS & EDUCATORS THROUGH SHARED HUMOR”

A Little More About Tim

Long before he was an educator, professional speaker, published playwright, husband and father, Tim was an undiagnosed hyper-active dyslexic rug rat from a small town outside Chicago. From this environment was cultivated a deep passion for teaching, writing and presenting. By 24, Tim was a college educator and coaching a nationally-recognized speech team, all while training at Improv Olympic, Second City and performing stand-up comedy in Chicago. After a decade of little sleep and endless experience, Tim found his voice as a nationally touring comedian—opening for the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Wright, and Larry Miller, to namedrop a few—and his stand up can be seen and heard on YouTube and SiriusXM satellite radio. Tim later shifted his focus back to writing and developing; one of his stage plays, Leaving Iowa, premiered at Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre Company—during which it received a nomination for American Theatre Critics’ award for Best New Play in the country—was soon published and is continuously performed in theaters all over the U.S. and Canada. Now Tim has brought to bear all his experiences from his years as an educator, improv and decades of headlining comedy stages, and he has synthesized his calling as a Humorous Motivational Speaker and Corporate Entertainer. He has spoken before such notables as former President George H.W. Bush and economist Paul Krugman and is bringing “social” back into the meeting space by inspiring and connecting his audiences through the infinite power of laughter. As a one-of-a-kind team builder, Tim Clue is reinventing conferences and meeting spaces all over the country, one funny experience at a time. Tim lives with his wife and daughter just north of Wrigley Field and is, yes, a lifelong Cubs fan. Especially now.

This lecture will concentration, in part, on what it takes to be “Smart” with regard to the disciplines of strategy, finance, marketing/sales, and technology – fundamentals of all businesses large or small.

The second half of this lecture will focus on that it means to be “Healthy”. These softer skills include the art of building a healthy organization centered around a leader’s ability to articulate the “why”, the need to attract and build a leadership team, the necessity of repeating the mission, the “why”, with clarity, and ultimately the need to get out of the way and give the freedom to the organization (employees) to accomplish the mission.
You’ll learn about:
• Many doctor-owners focus 90% of their time on how to be “Smart” but refocus doctors on why 50% of their time should be spent on being “Healthy”.
• How this change will make a difference in practice performance in today’s competitive orthodontic environment.
