In a 2016 survey conducted by Twilio, in conjunction with enterprise technology market research company Vanson Bourne, 6,000 consumers in seven different countries were asked about their business messaging preferences. Half of the consumers surveyed revealed that they prefer using native SMS apps to message businesses, and “more than eight in ten (85%) consumers would like to reply to a message from a [business] or engage in conversation.” 1
