Learn MoreTen years ago, Cloud 9 founders Ann and Ken Swinney predicted a future where an orthodontic practice could run on a 100% cloud-based system. That prediction led to the creation of Cloud 9 Software, which has changed the face of practice management software. Providing an enormous suite of tools, each with an abundant selection of customizations, Cloud 9 has made it easy for companies both large and small to operate their practice in the cloud for an entire decade.
While Cloud 9 may look on the outside like a big company, it has humble origins. Ann and Ken launched their dream on their living room couch in the shade of Kennesaw Mountain in Georgia. Slowly but surely their dream’s framework expanded to a fully operational product and their first customers quickly realized the immense potential of a cloud-based practice management system. The Cloud 9 community grew at a swift pace, both in customer-base and staff, and now in its 10th anniversary, Ann and Ken couldn’t be more proud of the path Cloud 9 has carved for itself.
So it’s time to turn the page and begin a new chapter. After years of hard work and dedication, Ann Swinney has retired from her position as Chief Operating Officer on March 15, 2020. Her contributions to the company have been countless, and her dedication boundless. Her transition will carry with it sorrow for the staff who have loved working alongside her, but it will bring wonderful opportunities for new joys in Ann’s life. Bidding adieu to this vivacious personality will be difficult, but her distinctive spirit will remain.
Rest assured that all customers will remain in excellent hands, and the staff is working hard to make this transition as smooth as possible.
Thank you for all of your years of service to the cloud, Ann!
